Session #19: TOWN HALL WEDNESDAY

We had our 19th bargaining session this afternoon and the College passed seven counterproposals and we passed three (find the proposals here).  We want to keep our update brief today and encourage you to attend our town hall on Wednesday (2/12) 7-8pm via Zoom. Please RSVP here

Here are some important sticking points in brief:

  • The College is continuing to insist on a 5-course load and proposed implementing this increasing workload in the 2026-2027 academic year. We know this is unacceptable to our unit and harmful to our students.

  • The College continues to reassert that our jobs should be confined solely to teaching and some advising and departmental duties, and they will only support pedagogically-focused professional development. Separating scholarship and teaching is anathema to Wellesley’s educational mission.

Our next bargaining session is on Thursday, February 27 from 9am-1pm, and you can come for some or all of bargaining. We hope to see you at our town hall on Wednesday (2/12) 7-8pm via Zoom. Please RSVP here
